12 de Julio

Today was close to being 5 stars but I’m gunna have to give it a 4. It was both small and large things that made today great; small things like finally finding a vendor that always sells tamales and also discovering the location of the farmer’s market, large things like getting our credit card to work again and having a huge prayer answered during my devotions this morning. However, the “perfect” mark was disrupted this evening when our card decided to stop working again. I was also, again feeling a little frustrated about my progress or lack of. I’ve made it to preterite or past tense. I’m exited but at the same time, discouraged because it is like learning an entire new set of vocabulary for words that you already knew. This is because many words change dramatically when they are used in the past tense context. Tomorrow is Friday and I’m thankful. I could use the extra time off to catch up on rest and my studies. I’m also excited for the weekend because they supposedly make the tamales 2 ½ times as big on Saturdays. You’ll be hearing about it if we snag one of those. I have decided to have a word for the day. How it words is I’ll try to fit this word into as many sentences as I can throughout the in attempts to keep it in my memory. Today’s word is “vago.” It’s significance, to bum around. The verb of origin is vagar. It is a word to define those who are too lazy to work and would rather chill out in the street.
